Usually we have nothing but good things to say about this café, as we are regular customers.
Unfortunately today we were very disappointed with the owners attitude.
We went into buy some cakes. The owner came down from the back of the shop in what seemed like bad form. We were offered a couple of slices of the cake we wanted that were already boxed in the fridge , but the best before date was from two days ago, so we politely asked for fresh slices from the tray. He rolled his eyes, turned away and started swearing in polish thinking we wouldn’t understand what he was saying, but we did. We decided not to buy the cakes in the end as we felt disrespected. It’s a shame, as we have always had good experiences here before. We have also heard from others that they have had similar experiences with the owners attitude, which is disappointing to hear. I don’t think it’s acceptable to take your bad mood out on paying customers. We won’t be returning again.
